Darren Heyman knows what it means to be both a documented and undocumented immigrant. He has lived in six different countries around the world, and knows how difficult it can be to go through the process of becoming legal. He graduated Northwestern University School of Law, one of the country’s top ten law schools, in 1999, after which he joined the international law firm Hogan Lovells, practicing international arbitration.

Darren Heyman also has his MBA from the University of Cambridge, England. Darren is fluent in English and French, and can also speak some Russian and Spanish.  In addition to federal immigration law, Darren is licensed to practice law in Illinois. Federal Areas of Practice: immigration and bankruptcy. Illinois Areas of Practice: gaming, corporate structuring, reinsurance, consumer credit finance, litigation, employment, and contracts.

Kateryna Heyman has been working in immigration for many years, starting in the consular section of the United States embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine.  She has since worked in the United States with immigration attorneys, specializing in both immigrant and non-immigrant visas, as well as the citizenship application process, and adjustments of status.

Kateryna has both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from nationally acclaimed Kyiv National Linguistic University, wherein she focused on multi-lingual translation. She has graduated from California School of Law and got licensed to practice law by the State Bar of California in 2024. Languages spoken: Russian, Ukrainian, German, and English.
