A naturalized U.S. citizen, Kevin Jesus King, has been charged in Nevada with naturalization fraud for allegedly concealing serious criminal conduct while applying for U.S. citizenship. Prosecutors allege that King committed sexual assaults in July 2017 and March 2018 but failed to disclose them on his January 2018 Form N-400 and during his June 2018 naturalization interview. He allegedly denied under oath that he had ever committed a crime for which he had not been arrested and became a U.S. citizen just 11 days after the interview. In July 2024, King pleaded guilty in Nevada state court and admitted to the two sexual assaults. Following an investigation by USCIS, he was charged with one count of naturalization fraud and made his initial federal court appearance on September 2, 2026. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison, with a jury trial scheduled for November 3. The charge remains an allegation, and King is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
