The Department of Homeland Security is offering a voluntary self-departure option for individuals in the United States unlawfully through the CBP Home Mobile App. Participants who choose to leave using the app are provided a free one-way plane ticket to their home country, a $2,600 exit bonus upon return, and forgiveness of any unpaid fines related to failure to depart on time. The program is open even to individuals whose temporary status has been revoked, and the process is designed to be straightforward and supported at each step. To begin, individuals must download the CBP Home Mobile App, submit their personal information, and complete identity verification. After registration, DHS will contact the individual to arrange travel, and may request additional information by email to confirm eligibility. Some participants will receive a unique email from CBP containing a personalized link or QR code that must be used to access or create a USCIS online account and complete Form G-325R. These links are specific to the individual, cannot be shared, and must be used as directed to ensure the self-departure request is properly processed.
