U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that it has received enough petitions to reach the statutory cap for H-2B visas for the second half of fiscal year 2026. As a result, March 10, 2026, became the final date USCIS accepted new cap-subject petitions for workers with employment start dates between April 1 and October 1, 2026. Any petitions received after that date for this timeframe will be rejected. USCIS has also released the filing schedule for the second and third allocations of supplemental H-2B visas for FY 2026, which are detailed on its official webpage. Additionally, the agency encourages the public—including both U.S. and H-2B workers—to report suspected fraud, abuse, or violations through its online tip submission system.
